Target announced on Tuesday that it was closing down 13 of their stores. They have more than 1700 stores in the US, so it is not a scary number of closures. It still has an impact, and there are some angry shoppers that are now trying to find a way to keep the store in the area open for business.
According to CNN Money, a spokesperson for the retail chain said that, ” the decision to close a Target store is not made lightly. Typically, a store is closed as a result of seeing several years of decreasing profitability.”
