There are several things you should and should not buy at Dollar stores. Even Dollar Tree often can be guilty of selling these things, which while work often have quality that won’t last long. How can we fault them? For $1 you can’t expect high quality headphones, or even top quality other items.
Aluminum Foil – Often times we’d found this cheap aluminum foil to rip and often cost more in quality than a name brand foil. We wouldn’t go cheap on the foil.
Electronics Items – Often times the electronics here won’t last long. I’ve purchased a variety of electronics at dollar stores that haven’t lasted long. Stick with something a little higher quality.
Vitamins – Did you know that the FDA doesn’t regulate vitamins? That’s true.
Oven Mitts & Kitchen Towels – These things can fall apart quickly so be careful. If you run through a regular wash they could fall apart. These do make great rags none the less.
Toys – A lot of these toys won’t last long. Even for your dog they’ll tear them to shreds pretty quick. If you need cheap toys, a thrift store is a lot better place to shop and get cheap toys that despite being used will last longer none the less.
Tools and Hardware – This is an iffy situation. Paint tools I’ve purchased here can be fine, tape is fine, but a lot of tools won’t stand the test of time. If you only do limited time crafts its fine, but keep in mind that these tools really won’t last long often.
I buy plenty of things in Dollar Stores like places like the Dollar tree. However make sure you pay attention to the quality of what you are buying and the intended use. Not everything here was built to last. Sometimes it is better to buy name brand than going cheap at a Dollar Store.Sponsored Links
